Who are we?

FIRST® Tech Challenge Team #11561 The Headless Horsemen (Originally the Steely Stangs!) was founded by Todd Reavis in 2009 at Manitou Springs School District. Team #24940 The Spectral Valkyries were created in 2023 due to the high demand for a second team.

Today, we have 2 teams. The Horsemen have won 6 awards since 2019 and the Valkyries won 3 in their rookie year.

Our generous sponsors have been Manitou Springs School District, Southern Colorado Robotics, Mastech, Kiwanis International, Colorado FIRST, Solidworks, Tayco Screen Printing and Embroidery, Staples Connect and the friend and families of the Mustang Community.
